Interior design of the “Umka” childcare center in Kyiv.

Area: 28 square meters

The design goal was to create an atmosphere of hospitality, warmth, and comfort in the lobby of a children’s educational institution—a space where children enjoy spending time and parents feel calm and at ease. For the interior, we chose a warm, natural color palette, soft lighting, and rounded shapes, which make the space feel more welcoming and open.

One of the central elements is the wardrobe, designed in the shape of colorful little houses. Graphic motifs featuring constellations evoke a subtle association with knowledge, dreams, and new discoveries. Lamps shaped like open books hang above the reception desk, while wooden details and comfortable seating areas add warmth to the interior. The image of “Umka”—a friendly little bear—has become part of the overall atmosphere of this space designed for children.
