Design of an 80 m² attic apartment in Dnipro.

  Dnipro · 2021 · 80 m² · Residential interior

The 80 m² apartment is located on the top floor of the building and features characteristic sloped windows typical of an attic space. The space was not originally intended for full-time residential use. Therefore, one of the main tasks was to create a comfortable apartment layout and make the most efficient use of the available space.

During the planning process, it was important to arrange the main living areas while taking the ceiling height into account. The bedroom could have been placed where the children's room is located, but this would have left the children's room in a less convenient part of the apartment. Therefore, the decision was made to place the master bedroom in the more private and quieter part of the space.

The final layout includes a living room, kitchen, bedroom and children's room while maintaining a sense of openness. The kitchen was placed in a cozy part of the living room, so it does not dominate the overall space. The children's room is separated by a glass partition, providing the necessary zoning without blocking natural light. Access to the bedroom is arranged through the kitchen, creating a logical connection between the main functional areas of the apartment.

In the bedroom, the bed is positioned next to a sloped attic window. This creates an unusual view upwards — through the window, you can see the sky and even the stars. The bathroom features a shower, with wood-textured tiles and terrazzo used for the finishes.
